On June 20th, 2019, Solid Waste and Chemicals Management Center announced 9th batch of quota list of solid waste restricted to import, approving a total of 310,020 tons, including 240,796 tons of copper scrap (78%), 54,256 tons of aluminum scrap (17%), and 14,968 tons of scrap ferrous(5%).
Copper Scrap
The import volume of copper scrap was 240,796 tons, accounting for 78% of the total approved imports. 28,760 tons of copper scrap were for processing trade, 212,036 tons of copper scrap were for general trade, of which two enterprises imported copper scraps for processing trade, Jintian Group (20,760 tons) and Ningbo Shimao Copper Co., Ltd. (8,000 tons).
Total 55 enterprises got approval, 4 of which were from Zhejiang province and 1 from Anhui province.
There were four enterprises with imports of more than 10,000 tons, with a total of 160,478 tons, accounting for 67% of the total import, double the sum of the other 50 enterprises. The four companies are Jintian Group (118,178 tons), Zhejiang Judong Co., Ltd. (18,510 tons), Ningbo Huacheng Valve Co., Ltd. (12,071 tons) and Ningbo Shimao Copper Co., Ltd. (11,719 tons), these four enterprises are based in Zhejiang province.
Aluminum Scrap
The import volume of aluminum scrap was 54,256 tons, accounting for 17% of the total approved imports. 22,232 tons of aluminum scrap were for processing trade, 32,024 tons of aluminum scrap were for general trade, of which one enterprise imported aluminum scraps for processing trade, Lanxi Boyuan Metal Co., Ltd. (22,232 tons).
Total 16 enterprises got approval, all of them are from Zhejiang provice. There were three enterprises with imports of more than 10,000 tons, with a total of 51385 tons, accounting for 95% of the total import. The three companies are Lanxi Boyuan Metal Co., Ltd. (29,232 tons), Gezhouba Zhanci (Ningbo) Metal Industry Co., Ltd.(12,153 tons), Zhejiang Judong Co., Ltd. (10,000 tons).
Others
Four enterprises obtained copper scrap and aluminum scrap approval, they are: Ningbo Huapeng Metal Industry Co., Ltd., Ningbo Zhenhai Tonghe Recycling Metal Co., Ltd., Ningbo Xinansheng Recycling Metal Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Tianjin Titai Metal Co., Ltd.
Six enterprises obtained copper scrap, aluminum scrap and scrap steel approval, they are: Taizhou Pingyun Waste Materials Utilization Co., Ltd., Taizhou Jinxuan Metal Co., Ltd., Taizhou Mingyi Metals Co., Ltd., Taizhou Ouchen Metal Materials Co., Ltd., Taizhou Xiangtong Metal Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Judong Co., Ltd.
