[GACC: China’s Scrap Metal Imports Rose 8.6% Month-on-Month in May] According to data released by the General Administration of Customs on June 23rd, China’s imports of scrap metal rose 8.6% month-on-month to 380,000 tons in May. However, China’s imports of scrap metal in January-May were 1.46 million tons, decreased by 40.7% from a year earlier.

[2019 CMRA Annual Convention is about to Start] According to the announcement of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment on 29th December, 2018, the relevant departments were researching and formulating the raw material product quality standards of recycling copper and recycling aluminum, raw material product of recycling copper and recycling aluminum complied with the relevant national product quality standards is not solid waste, and can be in accordance with the general free imports management. CMRA Annual Convention will inform the progress of raw material standard of recycling copper and recycling aluminum, discuss the formulation of raw material standard of recycling copper and recycling aluminum.
