CMRA delegation Visit AER Worldwide

On May 1st, CMRA delegation visited AER Worldwide located in Fremont, California. After a tour of the plant, CMRA delegation had a business talk with Mr Andre Weiglein, the President, Mr Matt Lawer, Director of Business Development and Mr Darrell Hogan, Director of Compliance.

During the talk, Mr Andre Weiglein introduced the basic information of AER Worldwide. AER Worldwide is an industry leading Electronics Recycling, Asset Management and Value Recovery Solutions provider, established in 1996 and has 7 plants in US now. The plant we visit is the main one with a processing capability of millions of electronic assets throughout the world annually. AER Worldwide provides end-to-end IT asset retirement solutions including logistics management, environmentally responsible recycling, data security, destruction and remarketing of IT equipment. Their main service focuses on Brand Protection, Environmental Accountability and Value Recovery.

CMRA delegation discussed with Mr Andre Weiglein, Mr Matt Lawer and Mr Darrell Hogan on the collection, recycling and local recycling policy etc. According to the law in California, users pay some money as the recycling fee while buying electronic products which will be submitted to the government recycling fund. Electronic recycling enterprises report the recycling to the government recycling fund and apply for the recycling fund.
