Established in 1998, Chaowei Power is mainly engaged in the manufacturing and sales of lead-acid motive batteries and other related products. These batteries are widely used in electric bikes, electric vehicles and special-purpose electric vehicles, etc. The Group also manufactures and sells lithium-ion batteries. As one of the leading enterprises in the industry in the PRC, Chaowei Power is committed to promote green energy production. Towards that end, currently, over 80% of its production capacity has adopted the Enclosed Battery Formation Process, making the Group one of the few manufacturers in the PRC to have successfully adopted this process in large scale production. With the plan to complete cadmium-free production by the end of 2013, the Group will comply with the “Entry Requirements of the Lead-acid Battery Industry” and act as an exemplary role model for the industry to follow.

Our motive battery products are sold under the “CHILWEE (超威)” brand, which has been recognized as a “Brand with the Strongest Influence in the Electrical Equipment Industry of China” by China Electrical Equipment Industrial Association, and a “Well-known Trademark of China” by relevant PRC authorities.

Headquartered in Changxing City, Zhejiang Province, the Group has established production bases in seven provinces with larger demand for lead-acid motive batteries, namely Shandong, Jiangsu, Henan, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi and Hebei. The primary market of the Group features top electric bike manufacturers highlighted by Yadea, Evermaster, Luyuan, Lima, Bidewen, etc, and its secondary market is supported by a distribution network covers all provinces across the country.

The Group was accredited with a number of certifications of ISO9001:2008 Quality Management Systems, ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management Systems, GB/T28001-2001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System as well as the CE marking. It was also the first enterprise to pass the cleaner production inspection and the first Circular Economy Pilot Enterprise in the Zhejiang storage battery sector. The Group was also one of the enterprises that has advocated cleaner production processes within the battery industry across China on 18 May 2011.
